To talk a little while. I need a friend who’ll listen. To my anxiety and trial. You see, I can’t quite make it. Through a day just on my own. I need your love to guide me, So I’ll never feel alone. I want to ask you please to keep My family is safe and sound. Come and fill their lives with confidence. For whatever fate they’re bound. Give me faith, dear God, to face Each hour throughout the day And not to worry about things. I can’t change in any way. I thank you, God, for being home. And listening to my call, For giving me such good advice When I stumble and fall. Your number, God, is the only one. That answers every time. I never get a busy signal, Never had to pay a dime. We all have something to learn from this young girl. As a drought continued for what seemed an eternity, a small community of farmers was in a quandary as to what to do. Rain was important to keep their crops healthy and sustain the townspeople’s way of life.

Last week I took my children to a restaurant. My six-year-old son had asked if he could say grace. As we bowed our heads he said, “God is good. God is great. Thank you for the food, and I would even thank you more if Mom gets us ice cream for dessert. And Liberty and justice for all. Amen.”

There was a nature show on television about a black bear that gave birth to two cubs. One cub died right away. Three weeks later the mother died and the remaining cub was left to fend for itself. An orphaned cub in that condition is like a walking buffet for predators. And of course, the camera immediately showed a hungry-looking mountain lion.
