I’d try my best to put a smile on someone’s face To share with them your saving grace. I’d remember things about my life The times you were there through fun and strife, And thank you then for all you’ve done. Without you no victories would have been won.   If I have one more day before I die I would apologize to the kid I made cry. I would take back the harsh words said to everyone, And fill their hearts with laughter and fun.   If I only had one more day I wouldn’t push anyone away. I wouldn’t try to hurt a friend Because I should love them to the very end.   Why not live each day as if it were our last Looking towards our future and forgetting the past To be a Christian each day we live And most importantly to always give. – Carol Ann Meditation: So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. – Psalm 90:12 You

It was like someone had rolled clay balls and left them out in the sun to bake. They didn’t look like much, but they intrigued the man, so he took the bag out of the cave with him. As he strolled along the beach, he would throw the clay balls one at a time out into the ocean as far as he could. He thought little about it, until he dropped one of the clay balls and it cracked open on a rock. Inside was a beautiful, precious stone! Excited, the man started breaking open the remaining clay balls. Each contained a similar treasure. He found thousands of dollars worth of jewels in the 20 or so clay balls he had left. Then it struck him. He had been on the beach for a long time. He had thrown maybe 50 or 60 of the clay balls, with their hidden treasure, into the ocean waves. Instead of thousands of dollars in

Or listened to the rain slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly’s erratic flight

I want to be successful too.” The officer looked at the young soldier steadily for about three minutes and gave him a threatening order. He gave the young soldier a cup full of water and told him to walk round the training field five times. He clearly told him that his life depended on it, and if a drop of waterfalls from the cup, another soldier would shoot him on the head. Four soldiers were strategically positioned to shoot him down once a drop of water falls from the cup. Seeing how serious the whole thing turned out, he took the cup full of water and went out to complete his assignment. The young soldier carefully walked round the training field five times without letting a drop fall from the cup. At the completion of the task, he returned the full cup to the senior officer. When the man saw his commitment to preserve

Portals of Destiny (2)

Portals of Destiny (2)

But when I turned to look at all that I had accomplished and all the hard work I had put into it, I saw that it was all pointless. It was like trying to catch the wind. I gained nothing from any of my accomplishments under the sun.
