So, the number of tomatoes would be equal to the number of persons they hate. On a pre-determined day, All the children brought their tomatoes well addressed. Some had two, some had three and some had five, some even had 20 tomatoes in accordance with the number of people they hated. The teacher then told them they had to carry the tomatoes with them everywhere they go for two weeks. As the days passed the children started to complain about the decay and smell of the tomatoes. The students who had many tomatoes complained it was very heavy to carry and the smell was too much. After a week, the teacher asked the students “How did you feel this week?” The children complained of the awful smell and heavy weight of the tomatoes, especially those who carried several tomatoes. A young couple moved into a new neighbourhood. The next morning whilst eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbour hanging the wash outside. “That laundry is not clean,” she said…. A young couple moved into a new neighbourhood. The next morning whilst eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbour hanging the wash outside. “That laundry is not clean,” she said. “She doesn’t know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap”. Her husband looked on but remained silent. Every time the neighbour would hang laundry to dry, the young woman would make the same comments. About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband: “Look, she has learnt how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this!” The husband said: “I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows!” And so it is with life. What we see when watching others depends on the purity of the window through which we look! Easy to discuss other people, their lives and things that don’t really concern us. Yet we tend to forget – our window isn’t that clean after all! You will Succeed in Jesus Name! Socrates pulled his head out of the water and the first thing the young man did was to gasp and take a deep breath of air. That’s why I call it the triple filter test. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?” “Well, no,” the man said, “actually I just heard about it and…” “All right,” said Socrates. “So you don’t really know if it’s true or not. Now, let’s try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my friend something good?” “Umm, no, on the contrary…” “So,” Socrates continued, “you want to tell me something bad about my friend, but you’re not certain it’s true. When they saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump out of the pit with all of their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down and died. The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs said, “Did you not hear us?” The frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the entire time. I was waiting to pick up a friend at the airport. That day I had one of those experiences that change people‘s lives. I noticed a man, carrying two bags, coming toward me. He stopped next to me to greet his family. First of all, he laid down his bag and came closer to his younger son (about six years old), they gave each other a warm, loving hug. Then the father looked in his son’s eyes and said: “I missed you so much, it’s so good to see you, son!” The boy smiled and said: “Me too, dad.” Then the man turned to his older son (nine or ten years old), “Oh, you are quite the young man, I love you very much!” and cupped his face. Then they had the tenderest hug too. Afterward, the father said “Hi, baby girl” to his daughter. She was squirming excitedly in her mother’s arm and watching her returning father all the time.
