He was whistling a real sweet tune for he was saved and had the joy of the Lord, but he was a baby Christian. As he was walking, a beautiful and seductive woman came out from behind a tree. Startled, he said, “Hello, I’m Soul, what is your name?” She replied, “I am Temptation, I have what you want.” “What do I want?” “You want to do all things which are of the flesh,” said Temptation. Soul replied, “O.K., lead me.” So he and Temptation went off and fulfilled the desires of the flesh. When Soul returned to the garden, he met a man named Condemnation. Condemnation said, “Hey, I see you have met my friend, Temptation.” He said, “Yes, who are you?” “I am Condemnation, I come after Temptation. We work hand-in-hand.” Then Condemnation jumped on Soul’s back and began to beat him. He hit him in the face and kicked him when he was down. This went on for several days. God Answers Prayer I know not by what methods are, But this I know – God answers prayer, I know not when He sends the word That tells us fervent… God Answers Prayer I know not by what methods are, But this I know – God answers prayer, I know not when He sends the word That tells us fervent prayer is heard. I know it cometh — soon or late: Therefore we need to pray and wait. I know not if the blessing sought Will come in just the way I thought. I leave my prayers with Him alone, Whose will is wiser than my own. Lord let me capture the pure spirit of a loving child when I speak Your name. Let me pray as a child prays, asking little for myself, much for other souls and for Your beautiful world. Protect me, sleeping and waking, from evil. Lead me by the hand to good works. This is a story that teaches us some lessons about how to deal with discouragement at moments in our lives. A man got dressed in the evening and set out… This is a story that teaches us some lessons about how to deal with discouragement at moments in our lives. A man got dressed in the evening and set out on his way to God’s house. On his way to Church, the man fell and his clothes got dirty. He got up, brushed himself up and headed home. At home, he changed his clothes and was again on his way to Church. Again, he fell at the same spot! He, again, got up, brushed off the dirt and headed home. At home, he once again changed his clothes and walked out heading to God’s house. On his way, he met a man holding a lamp. He asked to know his identity and the man replied, “I saw you fall twice on your way, so I brought a lamp so I can light your way.” The first man thanked him profusely and the two went on their way to the Church.
