I’m having a real good time like I am.” ******************************************** A Christian Home After the christening of his baby brother in church, Jason sobbed all the way home in the back seat of the car. His father asked him three times what was wrong. Finally, the boy replied,” That preacher said he wanted us brought up in a Christian home, and I wanted to stay with you guys.” ******************************************** Deliver Us From Evil I had been teaching my three-year-old daughter, Caitlin, the Lord’s Prayer for several evenings at bedtime, She would repeat after me the lines from the prayer. Finally, she decided to go solo. I listened with pride as she carefully enunciated each word right up to the end of the prayer: “Lead us not into temptation,” she prayed, “But deliver us some email. ******************************************* Forgive Us Our Transgressions One particular four-year-old prayed, “And forgive us our trash baskets as we forgive those who put trash in our baskets.” *******************************************

Promise landed. Saul freaked. David peeked. Prophets warned. Jesus born. God walked. Love talked. Anger crucified. Hope died. Love rose. Spirit flamed. Word spread. God remained. Meditation: He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end. – Ecclesiastes 3:11 Also Read: The Influence of Jesus Christ Understanding God: God of Delegation After A Flash of Inspiration, What’s Next? Should we pray for things we want to happen? Won’t God do what He’s going to do and not change His mind anyway? (Num. 23:19, 1 Sam. 15:29) We should pray. God already knows what He will do. (Matt. 6:8) He also knows how much and how earnestly you will pray. (1 John 3:20) God may do something you like whether you pray for it or not. (Ex. 33:19) He may not do it no matter how much you pray. (Jam. 4:3) However, He may sometimes do something if you pray and not do it if you don’t. (Jam. 4:2) You can’t make Him do it. Rather, He has chosen certain things to happen if you pray. (1 John 5:14) God knows which things He will do if you pray and which things He will not do no matter how much you pray. You don’t. So pray. Meditation: Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. – James 5:16 You Will Succeed in Jesus Name! She was a big spider, and she had spun a beautiful web between the corn stalks. She got fat eating all the bugs that would get caught in her web. She liked this home and planned to stay there for the rest of her life. One day, the spider caught a little bug in her web, and just as the spider was about to eat him, the bug said, “If you let me go I will tell you something important that will save your life.” The spider paused for a moment and listened because she was amused. “You better get out of this cornfield,” the little bug said, “The harvest is coming!” The spider smiled and said, “What is this harvest you are talking about? I think you are just telling me a story.” But the little bug said, “Oh no, it is true. The owner of this field is coming to harvest it soon. All the stalks will be knocked down, and the corn will be gathered up. You will be killed by the giant machines if you stay

Simple, just say, “Thank you, Lord. ’” Another way is to share with others, especially the church family, how God is blessing you. That brings hope and encouragement to others who may also need to think of the blessings they have received. What blessings have you received? Do you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead, and a place to sleep? How about money in the bank, in your wallet, or spare change in a dish? Did you wake up this morning with more health than illness? Even waking up is a reason for praise. Maybe you’ve never had to experience the fear of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation (or did and lived to praise the Lord). Do you attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death? Can you hold your head up and smile? If you’re reading this you are more blessed than the estimated 16-20% in the world who cannot read. Meditation: in everything give thanks; for this is the will
