He restores my sanity. He guides my decisions that I might honor Him in all I do. Even though I face absurd amounts of e-mail, system failures, copier jams, back-ordered supplies, unrealistic deadlines, staff shortages, budget cutbacks, red tape, downsizing, gossiping co-workers and whining customers; I won’t give up, for You are with me. Your presence, peace and power will see me through. You raise me up, even when the boss fails to promote me. You claim me as your own, even when the company threatens to let me go. Your loyalty and love are better than a bonus check. Your retirement plan beats any 401K, and when it’s all said and done, I’ll be working for you a whole lot longer. Thanks be to God! — Author Unknown Meditation: “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who

To handle yourself, use your head, To handle others, use your heart. Anger is only one letter short of danger. Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people. God gives every bird its food, But He does not throw it into its nest. He who loses money loses much; He who loses a friend loses more; He who loses faith loses all. Beautiful young people are acts of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art. Learn from the mistakes of others. You cannot live long enough to make them all yourself. The tongue weighs practically nothing, But so few people can hold it. — Author Unknown Meditation: The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to turn one away from the snares of death. – Proverbs 13:14 You will succeed in Jesus Name!

Maybe when the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don’t see the one which has been opened for us. Maybe the best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you’ve ever had. Maybe it is true that we don’t know what we have got until we lose it, but it is also true that we don’t know what we have been missing until it arrives. Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they will love you back. Don’t expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart; but if it does not, be content it grew in yours. Don’t go for looks; they can deceive. Don’t go for wealth; even that fades away. Go

The farmer heard the mule ‘braying’ – or – whatever mules do when they fall into wells. After carefully assessing the situation, the farmer sympathized with the mule but decided that neither the mule nor the well was worth the trouble of saving. Instead, he called his neighbours together and told them what had happened…and enlisted them to help haul dirt to bury the old mule in the well and put him out of his misery. Initially, the old mule was hysterical! But as the farmer and his neighbours continued shovelling and the dirt hit his back…a thought struck him. It suddenly dawned on him that every time a shovel load of dirt landed on his back…he should shake it off and step up! This he did, blow after blow. “Shake it off and step up…shake it off and step up…shake it off and step up!” he repeated to encourage himself. No matter how painful the blows, or distressing the situation seemed the old mule fought “panic” and just kept right

One thing can always cheer me When I do not understand How pain and sadness In our lives Can get so out of hand, When the best of human efforts Doesn’t meet the days demands, One thing can always cheer me I know that God is always near me. One thing can always cheer me More than anything I’ve known And show me I will never Have to struggle on my own For no matter what might happen I will never be alone The thing that will always cheer me Is just knowing God is near me. Our lives are in God’s loving Hands, in everything we do He is with us constantly, He always sees us through. And if our faith is strong enough We’ll never walk alone, For with His great and perfect love He takes care
